Set up Elysian in Unity

About five minutes, once.

1Create an account and choose a plan
Sign up, confirm your email, then pick a plan on the Billing page. A plan unlocks keys and the plugin.
2Create an Elysian key
On the Keys page, create a key and copy it. It is shown once. Name it after the computer it is for.
3Install the plugin
Download the ZIP from the Plugin page and extract its AIMapGenerator folder into your Unity project's Assets folder. Install the Newtonsoft JSON package through Package Manager if required. The plugin is distributed directly while Asset Store publication is pending.
4Add your keys
Open Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Elysian.
- Paste the Elysian key from step 2.
- Choose your model provider (Claude, OpenAI or Gemini) and paste that provider's own key, with the model name you want.
- No provider key? Choose Manual (copy/paste): Elysian hands you each prompt to run through any model, and you paste the reply back.
- Set the server URL under Advanced to the address shown on the Plugin page, then save your settings and press Test Server Connection. Set the website URL to this website so the key and billing buttons open the right account dashboard.
5Ask for something
Open Tools ▸ Elysian Map Generator and describe what you want, like “a small island with a village on the east shore”. For anything big, Elysian shows its plan first and waits for your approval.

Troubleshooting

If something goes wrong

The plugin says
This Elysian key is not valid. / This Elysian key was revoked.
What to do
Create a new key on the Keys page and paste it into the plugin's settings.
The plugin says
Your Elysian subscription is not active.
What to do
Open the Billing page and choose a plan, or update your payment method. The same key works again as soon as the plan is active.
The plugin says
Add your Elysian key in the Elysian settings.
What to do
The key field in Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Elysian is empty.
The plugin says
Elysian is temporarily unavailable.
What to do
Our side is down for a moment. The plugin keeps retrying; nothing is lost.
The plugin says
Plugin version no longer supported. Update Elysian.
What to do
Download the latest plugin from the Plugin page and import it over the old one.
The plugin says
Conversation is already connected.
What to do
The same chat is open in another Unity window. Close one of them.
The plugin says
Too many connections from this address.
What to do
Close extra Unity editors on this network, or wait a minute and reconnect.
